Position: Business Development & Sales Manager – North America

Duties: Responsible for the sales and business development of the North American market that offers customers an entire range of opto-electronical semiconductor devices such as distributed feedback (DFB) lasers, and OME modules in different application fields, including defense, health, and oil and gas. Develop and manage the company’s business expansion and sales strategies and operations, budget and strategic investments, and deliver strong results regarding sale of the company’s existing and future products. Manage subordinate team members, responsible for interviewing and hiring, and performance reviews. Train new staff in administration, sales processes, and specific technical processes related to laser technology. Manage collaboration and relationships with customers, distributors and partners, and spearhead specific business development and sales projects and initiatives at a global level.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Physics, Engineering Management, Engineering, or related field. Twelve (12) months of experience in job offered, management, or related occupation. Any amount of experience in additional requirements section below will be acceptable unless specific amount is noted. Additional requirements: Prior academic background or work experience to include: 1) Knowledge of DFB lasers or similar opto-electronical semiconductor devices, tunable diode laser spectroscopy. 2) Experience with creating and implementing business strategies and operations. 3) Experience with budgeting, investments, and hitting sales targets. 4) Experience managing an engineering sales team.

Salary: At least ‎$‎96,000 per year, plus bonuses and commissions. Comprehensive benefits package.

Job Location: Boulder, CO – position eligible for telecommute.
